Here’s the course descriptions for the upcoming semesters:
Spring Semester
- Old Testament Survey
An immersive overview of the Old Testament that explores its historical framework, central themes, and theological foundations. Emphasis is placed on God’s unfolding redemptive plan through a historical and Pentecostal lens.
- New Testament Survey
A guided exploration of the New Testament, tracing the life and teachings of Jesus and the formation of the early Church. Core New Covenant doctrines—including baptism, the Holy Spirit, and early Christian practice—are examined in depth.
- Eschatology: A Study of Things to Come
A focused study of Christian eschatology from a Pentecostal perspective, addressing the rapture, tribulation, millennium, and the Second Coming of Christ. Attention is also given to the Statement of Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God, providing a strong foundation for teaching and preaching on end-time events.
- Christ in the Synoptic Gospels
An in-depth comparison of the Synoptic Gospels highlighting the life, teachings, miracles, parables, and messianic fulfillment of Jesus. Special focus is given to the resurrection, Passover, and the distinctiveness of Christianity.
- Romans
A theological journey through Paul’s most comprehensive epistle, unveiling the nature of the gospel and the New Covenant. Key themes include grace, faith, righteousness, and unity between Jew and Gentile in the early Church.
- Prayer & Worship
A biblical and practical exploration of prayer and worship as central expressions of intimacy with Christ. From private devotion to corporate celebration, emphasis is placed on Spirit-led practices that cultivate a vibrant spiritual life. - A Spirit-Empowered Church
An examination of the New Testament Church with a focus on the active work and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Biblical patterns and historical expressions of Spirit-empowered ministry are applied to the needs of the modern Church. - Local Church Evangelism
A practical approach to evangelism and disciple-making within the local church. Emphasis is placed on relational outreach, reproducible discipleship, and long-term spiritual multiplication.
Fall Semester
- Introduction to Pentecostal Doctrine
A foundational examination of the four cardinal doctrines of the Assemblies of God: Salvation, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ. The study establishes a theological framework essential to Pentecostal identity and ministry. - Relationships & Ethics in Ministry
An exploration of the biblical principle of honor and its impact on ministry relationships. Topics include ethical leadership, relational health, conflict resolution, and building cultures that value people and promote growth. - Effective Leadership
A biblical framework for leadership applied to the local church. Practical tools are presented for disciple-making, healthy confrontation, and serving others with clarity, humility, and effectiveness. - Conflict Management for Church Leaders
A focused study on understanding and navigating conflict within ministry settings. Attention is given to recognizing conflict patterns, managing escalation, and pursuing redemptive and healthy resolution. - Prison Epistles
A study of Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon, highlighting Paul’s theological instruction to Gentile believers. Central themes include salvation by grace, unity in Christ, and life empowered by the Spirit.
- The Corinthian Correspondence
An examination of Paul’s letters to the Corinthians addressing division, spiritual maturity, and church order. Practical insights are drawn for teaching, preaching, and navigating contemporary ministry challenges. - Introduction to Hermeneutics
An introduction to sound biblical interpretation, emphasizing historical, cultural, and literary context. Students gain tools for discerning the intended meaning of Scripture with clarity and faithfulness. - Introduction to Homiletics
A study of effective preaching that bridges biblical truth with contemporary application. Emphasis is placed on communicating Scripture clearly while addressing the real-life challenges faced by today’s believers. - New Covenant Theology
An in-depth study of Paul’s letter to the Galatians, examining the doctrines that shaped the early Church and the New Covenant. Key themes include salvation by grace, freedom in Christ, and life in the Spirit.
